Exclusive En Plein air painting workshop by Milind Mulick!

Milind Mulick stands unique among the other artists and never fails to amaze people with his passion. And in South India Coloring India Foundation manages his workshops for a decade and proud have that series, Hues of Watercolor 12th edition was a unique Plein air painting workshop by Milind Mulick.

M.F Husain, once said, “They can put me in a jungle. Still, I can create” was later known as the Picasso of India.

That level of confidence and contribution to holding a brush to paint begins from practice.

Milind Mulick, an artist who stands unique among the other artists through his Watercolour paintings. At the age of 5, he explored his skills, since then he worked hard to be a great artist. 22 years later, his ‘Never-give up’ attitude and hard work paid off!

Today, Milind Mulick is one of the famous artists for his amazing Landscape Paintings. The Watercolourist observes his daily life and painted them. He brought life to the objects around him with his vibrant Watercolour paintings. His realistic paintings are exhibited in many places in India.

Milind Mulick carried out his passion by teaching painting lessons for few students and also by conducting workshops. But he keeps his priorities straight by spending most of his time painting. He never fails to amaze people with his excellent painting techniques.


HISTORY OF HUES OF WATERCOLOR

‘Hues of Watercolor’ is a  series of watercolor painting workshops under Coloring India Foundation with the most experienced Veteran Artists.

The goal is to shine the spotlight upon the artists to appreciate their arts and to encourage the participants to indulge in painting by learning the basic techniques to artistic touch.


WHY IS MILIND MULICK’S WORKSHOP EXTRA SPECIAL?

Recently, Milind Mulick’s workshops were conducted on Hues of Watercolour 12th edition for two days. It was an exclusive workshop since it was indoors and Plein-air painting.

En Plein-air is a French word which translates to Outdoor daylight painting in English. It is very rare when an artist is comfortable for Plein-air painting just as comfortable as painting in studios. And so it made Hue of watercolor 12th edition workshop extra special with Milind Mulick.

Nearly, 40 watercolor lovers participated and benefited from Milind Mulick’s techniques in Watercolor painting.


MULICK’S DAY OUT WITH THE PARTICIPANTS

Mulick’s demonstration was divided into two days,

INDOOR EXPERIENCE

The day started with a brief introductory session by Milind Mulick at Rangoli Metro Art Centre. Not just the demonstration on Watercolour painting but also allowed the participants to paint during the session with the provided art supplies from the Hues of Watercolour team for more interaction and liveliness.

GET OUTSIDE, BLEND INTO NATURE AND PAINT!

The second day started out to be an exciting trip to Doddaballalpura at Nadhi village.

A field trip to Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple, one of the oldest temples of Karnataka from the 9th century built by the Cholas, located 60 km away from Bangalore. The pillars of the temple are covered with beautiful carvings and placed among the sculpted idols of Nandi.

It was amazing to see the Plein air painting workshop by Milind Mulick is getting along with the bunch of participants around him while painting the temple. He was entirely involved, simultaneously helping them to understand the ambiance.

Outdoor paintings are usually difficult due to a lot of distractions; it depends on the choice of place and the weather. But Milind Mulick was concentrated with both the painting and the participants, which magnified his passion for painting.

ADMIRING THE PLEIN-AIR AFTERNOON

The afternoon was well spent at a Plein-air location, inhaling the fresh air, the silent flow of water and greenery consumed environment. This location was the most exciting part of the journey.

Milind Mulick’s outdoor session was very close to nature observation. The essence of the whole village was captured and brought inside one frame by him.


WHAT WERE THE BENEFITS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS?

The tickets were limited to Plein air painting workshop by Milind Mulick – Hues of Watercolour 12th edition since it was Milind Mulick’s workshop. The participants had the chance to engage in one-on-one conversations with the artist about Watercolour painting for two days. Also, he taught them a few of his signature style in painting.


HOW WERE THE FOOD, TRAVEL, AND LOCATION?

The specialty of the Hues of Watercolor 12th edition – Plein air painting workshop by Milind Mulick was that the team made an excellent effort in keeping the participants with proper hygienic food. A comfortable bus was arranged by the team for the long journey. And the choice of location was calm and apt for Milind Mulick’s demonstration.


WERE THE PAINTING MATERIALS PROVIDED?

Yes, the painting materials were provided to all the participants as it was paid initially by them.


HOW UNIQUE WAS THE WORKSHOP TO THE PARTICIPANTS?

Yes, it was very useful for them. In fact, they have learned a lot of new techniques which Milind Mulick used in his master paintings.
