Join drawing and painting classes in Bangalore designed for beginners, hobby learners, and serious art enthusiasts.
How Pencil & Chai Began
Pencil & Chai began over 16 years ago as an outdoor learning initiative, where students learned through observation, sketching, and plein-air sessions.
What started as weekend outdoor classes gradually evolved into a structured studio-based learning space, while continuing to carry forward the same spirit of observation, practice, and artistic exploration.
Over time, we noticed a recurring thought among learners — many felt that if they had access to structured art education earlier, their artistic journey would have been very different.
This led to the creation of Junior Pencil & Chai (JPC) — built with the intent to provide strong foundational training and genuine artistic inspiration to the next generation.
With integrity at its core, JPC is not designed as a hobby class, but as a structured learning space that helps young learners grow steadily over time. Its impact is most meaningful when students stay committed to long-term learning.
At the same time, for learners (15+) who wished to pursue art more seriously, this journey extended into Sampratishta, a dedicated pathway for structured, academic, and career-focused fine arts education.
